The gift of prophecy is not for everyone but only for the chosen ones of God. Master prophet Jordan is one of the few people of God who has been endowed with this unique gift of seeing the future things of God by receiving His prophetic Words.

According to Bishop Bernard Jordan the science of prophecy is not a random phenomenon, rather it follows a certain divine flow that must be accomplished. This is because God is a God of peace and order. This is otherwise known as the divine flow of things in prophecy.

The first order in prophecy is for a person to desire it in his heart to have the gift of a prophetic tongue. Even this desire is placed by God in the human heart, so that master prophets are born in this generation and age.  Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy. (I Corinthians 14:1).

Bishop Jordan stated in his book that there are different ministries in the church of God; one is the ministry of speaking in tongues another is the ministry of the prophets, and the ministry that releases the body. The ministries of speaking in tongue and its interpretation are not the same as prophecy.

The Master Prophet, Jesus Christ himself said in His Word “If anyone speaks in a tongue, two or at the most three should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret.” (I Corinthians 14:27).

This clearly states the requirement in a congregation whenever there is someone who speaks in tongues; the ruling is that there should be someone to interpret it. If one or two persons speak in tongue there should be someone to interpret it, I there is no one to interpret it, and then silence is the next order of things. That is why in prophetic order of prophecy speaking in tongue and interpretation should always be together.

The distinct role now of the master prophets or members of the elder prophets is to judge the authenticity of the words and where the spirits originated. God has ordained these prophets like Bishop Bernard Jordan to lead the people of the congregation.

To signify the elder prophet’s agreement to the tongue and its interpretation, they should be the first to stand to acknowledge it. This is to teach spiritual maturity in team ministry.

Covenant relationship is very important in team ministry because it is here when the different roles of each member prophet can be clearly manifested. This type of relationship can only be accomplished through the Spirit’s leading. This requires that someone must be in charge if there are multiple messages from God to tell someone when to speak and when to wait for the proper time for God’s message to be relayed to the entire team or in some cases the entire congregation.

This role is assigned to the master prophet of the ministry. This is the way that God has taught the ministry of prophets to function so that the entire congregation may be edified.

“For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged. The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets.  For God is not a God of disorder but of peace as in all the congregations of the Lord’s people.” (I Corinthians 14: 31-33).
