The desire of our heart

God’s allowance isn’t necessarily His gift. Just because God allows us to have what we want, that doesn’t mean He gave it to us—even if He intends to use it as a means to teach us a valuable lesson. . In other words, God may allow us to have what we want to show us that there are better things to seek in life. Hence, He opens our eyes to the law of consequences, and thereby seeks to show us that haste makes waste when people attempt to step outside of His will. Indeed, God will give us the desires of our hearts, but only on the condition that we delight ourselves in Him. We must have a desire to receive what He wants for us. . Of course, that means we will be eager to hear His voice, diligent to seek His wisdom, and faithful to walk in obedience to all that He commands.

Take caution in how you judge what you see. Delighting ourselves in the Father isn’t as much about outward appearances as it is about what’s going on inside our hearts.. Not all is what it appears to be. There are many who appear to be serving God, but they’re actually serving themselves instead. Such people draw near to God with their mouths, honoring Him with their lips, but they have removed their hearts from Him.

According to Master Prophet E. Bernard Jordan those who delight themselves in God will take what He gives and give what he takes. They will put Him first and foremost in everything in exalting His will above their own opinions. These can be sure that their prayers will be answered, because they ask according to the will of God. “And this is our confidence, that if we pray according to His will, He will hear us, and give us what we ask for, because our desires are in agreement with His thoughts for us. If your prayers aren’t being answered, that doesn’t mean God is failing to do His part to make good things happen in your life. It could be that your desires aren’t in agreement with what He delights in. However if our desires are in agreement with what He delights in, then you simply need to be more patient in waiting on Him.

According to Master Prophet E. Bernard Jordan remember He always gives us what’s best for the moment; He doesn’t heap it all on us at once. We likely wouldn’t be able to handle it if He did; we might use what we have received for purposes other than what He intends. Don’t take anything you have for granted, but foster an attitude of gratitude. Do not just praise Him for answered prayer; praise Him while we are waiting for an answer.
