What does a prophet with a prophetic ministry do? How does he connect to God and how does God talk to Him? How can we relate ourselves to them?
Prophets, depending on their gifts may hear words, may see visions and images of Gods message to them. A prophet, who already knows how to use his gifts, will find it easy to identify and interpret them. He will use that to send His message to the person he is ministering.
How does a prophet use his prophetic ministry? A prophet will first pray to God to enlighten him and ask God to let him know His message to the person he is ministering. With the help of the Holy Spirit, the prophet will be able to somehow encourage the person, and reveal to him the message of God.
God wants us to have faith in Him, to believe Him and love Him with all our hearts. So He sends us prophets like Bishop Bernard Jordan to help us become closer to Him, to help us understand His will. Prophets are the people who fight for God, who keep on reminding us with His existence. They keep their ministry from defamation and belittlement so that people can continue to hear and know the message of God that is intended for them.
Prophets, though sometimes being judged and mocked by people around them, keep on battling for their faith, and for their intention to serve God according to His will. Expecting nothing from us in return, their only goal is to bring us closer to God.
