Difference of Prophetic Ministry

Difference of Prophetic Ministry from Old Testament and New Testament

It is unquestionable that prophetic ministry is an astounding part of the Old Testament. I bet no Christian will object or argue that prophets wrote the Old Testament. Although Prophetic Ministry appeared on New Testament, do you know that there are differences between Prophetic Ministry in yhr Old Testament and New Testament?

The prophets from the Old Testament had the right to write scripture but the prophets of the New Testament do not.  Prophets from the Old Testament are dependable because they can write a scripture while prophets of the New Testaments must come under the influence and teachings of scripture. If the prophecy is against the Bible, then the prophecy is questioned and rejected. Because the prophets from the Old Testament can write scriptures, they played an important role in the writing of the scriptures; faulty prophecy cannot be tolerated and accepted. When a prophet from the Old Testament gave an inaccurate prophecy, they had to be blamed for wrong prophecies and be named as false prophets.  This is not the case for the prophets of the New Testament. Since they don’t have to write scriptures, faulty predictions are questioned but the prophets are not to be blamed or condemned.

Being prophets of the Old Testament and New Testament have a big difference. Although at this point of time, you can tell that Prophets from the Old testaments, as well as their prophetic ministries are more powerful than prophets from the Old Testament. But no matter what role they play, or how they played it, we cannot deny that both prophets have one purpose when summed up—to be an instrument of God.
